The running part of the season has finally started and i couldnt be more excited. I sprung my ankle a week ago but it seems to be doing better so I decided to end my 2 week rest from track and start running again. my knees where killing me, I had a bad side stitch, and my form felt bad, but after I got 20min down I felt great and did a few more then called it for now.

Today I felt way better than yesterday! I like to visualize or day dream while I run and sometimes (like today) it gets pretty intense. On this run I dreampt that I was in the season and winning races and some guys from another team where mad about me always beating them with so little effort. the night after one of such races I was on a short jog by my house when these guys that where mad at me jumped me and broke many of my ribs. I was in so much pain as I laid there hoping my parents would find me. When they came looking for me they where astonished at how bloody and bruised I was. After taking me to the ER they asked who did this to me and that they would have them arrested. With my persuations I told them not to tell the cops till after our next race. Race day came and I could still hardly walk let alone run, but I was determined to show those kids that they still couldnt beat me. I hobled to the line while watching their suprised expresions. I said  "its great weather for a race dont you think."  Then  the gun fired and we where off. I got out at such a pace that I killled all of them and broke the course record and my PR by a min and thirty three second collapsing at the finish line and in to much pain to breath later causing me to faint. When I woke it was 3 days later and i was in the hospital. News reprters asked me questions about: why I still ran? why I didnt tell on those kids before? etc. I told them I wanted to show them that I dont win because of my wolf like endurence, or my chetta speed turn over, but because I woke so hard and through some much pain that not even shatered ribs could stop me from beating good runners like themselves. Then some one asked me if I was mad at them for what they did and I said heck noooo! I just ran a heck of a PR, plus look at theis dope gold metal. 

Its moments like this when I am so lost in the joy of running and the miricles that it can help people achieve that allows me to have a glimps of my true potential. To have a small bite of glory that can only be won by one person who works harder than anyone else. I canta control what others can do but I will never lower my goals and hard work to allow someone I know I can beat to beat me. This I why I have a shot at being a state champ and this shared with my team mates is why we will win state!

I really have a hard time telling pace when I run on my own. I was feeling good after going camping and letting my ankel relax a bit so I decided to go for a tempo workout. what was supposed to be 15 warm, 15 tempo, 20 cool ended up being 1 mile repeats at 5:32 and 5:33 with an equal recovery. I dont know why I went so fast, maybe im just ready to do great things (I do need to let my breathing get back to full capacity first though).

needed a nice relax run today. I took JD with me and we went 30mins just around town. my knees are feeling a lot better and im getting back in the grove. I wanted to do a double today but havent gotten around to it yet ;however, ill problly do a few more miles tonight.

great run with the team today. The pace got really fast but controlled and I loved It! I was a bit worn out from the past few days of work, but I felt great afterwards. Its amazing how something that makes you sooo tired (like running) can make you feel so alive after. The feeling of self satisfaction truly is a force to be recond with.

Great run together with the team. We ran a timed sand hill out it the dessert and its a killer! toke me 10:29 up and 6:14 down the other side with atotal time of 16:43. Im excited for Julian and myself, were doing very well and im super proud of  the rest of the team that did good today! Jason and Scottie did amazing and im looking forward to the great runners they will become. We do need work though, after J and I theres a big gap that needs to be fill (we have potential, but its gonna take some work). I still need to work on my second half of workouts when it geets hard and my form gets sloppy, the sand really brings that out.

half road half grass and striders: It was kind of boring today just running back and forth and in circles but sometimes you need to be bored. racing with the youngters was a blast! I love how much energy they have. Ben did super good and so did Jacob. Watching people race gets me so excited. I have a feeling tomorow is going to be a fast run.

nice tempo today with the team. I saw some great improvement and an awesome pack. I learned that I need to start in the back of the pack because anyone can run fast at the start but pushing the team in the second half  will help us push all the way to the end and I can work on my finishes better.

This was definitely one of the best runs we have had as a team. We had some good laughs, sprinkler god blessings, cam brown, a washer, and a solid pack. I'm so proud of Tavin and Cooper! They have both stepped up in amazing ways, today Tavin was tired and still stuck with us the whole way through. I' so excited for xc boys renegade camp. There are days where i'm so stressed out about our team, but today it was just fun and hard work. I hope my teammates know how much I trust and need them, putting a state championship on their shoulders is hard for me to do.  Just writing this blog makes me cry from the thought  of having such a great target last year and being so close to it, with such a good team. I have no choice but to go all the way in this year, because if  I don't you can say good by to that state #1. Thats why its so hard for me to put trust in the team, but at the same time that's exactly why I need to. Trust the team, Trust the system, Trust the goal, and Trust yourself.

What a freakn awesome run! sand hill with perfect conditions! I visualized and hydrated all weekend and it paid off. I got 8:41 up and 5:22 down setting some new records. The run after was exhausting but I was pleased with my efforts.

Race in hurricane to start off the 24th celebrations today. I had a great time and was not super ready to race. I wasn't feeling to great but I didn't let that stop me from getting a good time, place, and 1234 pv finish! had a 18 min warm and like a 30 min cool to hit todays minutes. 16:49 isn't to bad for the end of the summer.

great race not the fastest time, but it got me the #1.  I didn't make my move as big as I wanted or as soon as I wanted. I was a bit unsure, but that's to be expected a bit at the start of the season. I feel I've got the groove down now though. I love how our team checks up on each other after our races and talks about our struggles and triumphs.

3k interval workout today. legs were very heavy, but i got the workout done. It was great to see some of the other guys go beyond what was required and get some extra sets in. I've really been working on getting a good amount of sleep lately (9+ hrs) and its helping a ton.

easy run with a lot of the team. It was pretty nice weather today. legs are still super tight and heavy and my abbs hurt like a champ. Im super excited to hurt my body more at our SUU race this weekend! I know Im pretty worn out this week; however, I still have some good stuff up my sleeve ;)

super good things happening for me in at the race today! I got 3rd overall, 1st on team, 15:50 was my time. I wont get to cocky because those guys were right behind me, but i'm not gonna quick till I bring down caleb armstrong. Not only am I in the big dogs now, I am a big dog!

That run sucked. I felt weird at the start but I thought that would just go away as we got going. Instead, I had to stop and poop, then felt crazy light headed. told mikey to just finish because I wasn't able to keep up on our second 3 min and just chilled back to the school, stopping every few minutes to catch my breath.

afternoon run was good. I felt a lot better, but im still pretty tired and worn out.

Morning Practice: great run! I told my self that i would go chill because the blog said to, but we got stuck at a light and jd and jason keep going and got way ahead. Julian and looked at each other at the same time. His eyes saying "go destroy them" and I was off. for 3 min  I chased them then passed them on the down hill and finished 400m ahead lol.

Afternoon Practice: we went to go get coach a b day present, but got ditched, so Cooper, Scottie, Luck, Boston and I just formed a nice group back to the school. I dropped them off and ran the rest on my own. Overall it was a good run, Today was a bit hectic at school, but what day isn't:)

Morning Practice: great run. didn't get out of control and felt pretty good.

Afternoon Practice: sweeeet workout!! 10min warm then 5min at tempo and 4 striders into 6x3min at 5k pace with equal recovery and 12min cool. It took a second to get the legs moving and when I did they definitely weren't very smooth, but I got the last 2 of 6 done how I wanted. I just need to keep working on that second half all the time and when race day comes ill crush It!!!

good runs and weights today. In the afternoon I wasn't feeling the spring i had monday morning but I was able to run fine and pick it up a little at the end when my legs were warmed up. I was pretty tired today and need to get some rest, so i'm going to bed early today. night

good workout today! 90sec @ 5:05 equal rec 10min @ 5:35 3 min rec 90sec @5:05 equal rec 90 sec @5:05 then cool to time. I'm feeling way good and focusing on getting my feet moving toward the end of races/workouts. I definitely learned a lot from the race last friday (actually thankful about how it turned out). Now I know what I need to work on and to remember to not only be a physical beast but a smart, well rounded, calculated ANIMAL!

Chill 65 min. My legs feel amazing and I had one of the best workouts ever yesterday!!! I was feeling stressed because of state but now I know i'm ready to roll. I've never felt so ready and confident to do something in my life. And I know I went to fast today, but don't worry about it i need ed it and now i'm gonna do hard core stretching and yoga for a hour then take an ice bath:)
